Right now I have a little trouble learning the spanish object pronouns (me, te, la, lo, le, se, etc...). It's so tricky. Especially when there's more than one object pronoun in a sentence, like for example: "Ya le has comprado el regalo a Silvia? Sí, se lo he dado esta mañana." I find it a little hard because it's a little different from swedish.
But I will practice this hard and hopefully I'll get it soon!! Any learning tips, by the way? Gracias. ![]() |

I taught a few Spanish to a American native and just she has a lot of troubles saying Me, la, el, because she doesn't very accustomed with the kind to words, and she was a little Spanish for me, but it's doesn't enough until now, then I don't know how I should to teach her with, I guess it in a method easier as she was a kind it likes in the kinder garden, in essence she can keeps the information taught for me.
Then I can understand your situation, because it result familiar in my day to day, but I can tell you something true, if you practice daily the language, I believe with that method you will keep more information in your brain instead of you practice or write anything only two days per week or less it. Good luck

I'm trying to get a handle on all those little Spanish words like por, de, ser, le, para, que, etc... The hardest thing for me is to speak....given time I can construct a pretty good sentence, but if it were an emergency, someone would surely die before I could get it all together. Then I'd just have to say....Oh No!

What is so hard for me in learning Spanish is memorizing the conjugation of verbs and applying these in actual sentences. It does not help me to memorize the conjugation of every spanish verb if I do not understand how it is used in a Spanish sentence. I memorize and then I forget.

I find the most difficult part deciding when I need to alter a word,
such as dónde. ie. Adónde or Vino, i am not even sure how to change that word yet. or how I could I just don't know what calls for a transfiguration/ alteration/ modification. That and it's more or less my third day. |

That's why I advise to translate a novel from Spanish to English. You have to write first in Spanish what you want to translate. Look in the bilingual dictionary for the words in order to find out what they mean in English. Try to make out how each word is pronounced in Spanish. Check that it is legible in English. Write again in Spanish what you forst wrote in Spanish.
This way you get "accustomed" to Spanish. |

@Vita: Memorizing is useless if you don't associate a method to do it with a specific kind of verb. Try using a conjugation manual (not a list of conjugated verbs), so you will have a model to conjugate the different groups of verbs and their regularities/irregularities.
