Tierra
This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for August 10, 2008
tierra - feminine noun (la) - earth, dirt. Look up tierra in the dictionary Ya no queda casi nadie que crea que la tierra es plana. There is hardly anyone left who believes the earth is flat.

Tierra = Mundo
My Dad used to say (when he was mad at me): "Hija, te crees que eres el ombligo del mundo". As a teenager I hated it, now I remember it fondly. I suppose you'll be able to figure out what it means on your own. Do ask if you don't.
