This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for September 21, 2008
estrella - feminine noun (la) - star. Look up estrella in the dictionary ¿Nunca soñaste con ser estrella de rock? You never dreamed about being a rock star?

In Scandinavia we have a brand of potato chips called Estrella. I had no clue it meant star.

When I always saw estrella, first thing that comes to my mind is a line from a song 'entre el mar y una estrella' from a song with the same title ^_^
entre el mar y una estrella = among the sea and a star(?)
