levantar en peso

In English it means a dressing down or to be read the riot act. I have never heard the term before. I have heard this term was used by someone from Argentina. Is this a term you have heard before?

I didn't know it could have any other meaning, like scolding someone.
I only knew the literal meaning which is to carry someone as if they were an object.
- El bombero levantó al niño en peso y lo llevó a la ambulancia.
- El superhéroe levantó en peso a la chica y la puso a salvo.

I didn't know that meaning either

As a non-native speaker, en peso doesn't sound natural.

It sounds strange, but it seems to be pretty common.
