there's also Chinese lettuce, which my mom says is healthier than the American one. We cook it in several different ways, and I love eating them.

However I still have trouble telling the difference between cabbage and lettuce. oh, sure Mom tells me if we're eating cabbage or lettuce, but they look the same.

what's the Spanish for cabbage (I already know lettuce, Duh :P) and can someone tell me the difference?

Cabbage is col in Spanish. Very few people cook lettuce, so you're most likely eating cabbage. Lettuce is green, leafy and usually eaten in salads. Cabbage is eaten raw in coleslaw and is cooked (Chinese egg rolls contain cabbage).

Cabbage Cabbage (halved)
