I hope I got that right. What I meant to say is, Hi, I'm TBAWriter. I'm from the US, and I'm a new student to Spanish. I don't know how to say more to introduce myself, although I would prefer to post in Spanish as much as I can to immerse myself in the language. I want to learn Spanish as much so I can converse with people in their native language as much as the fact that I just love to learn about different languages.

Hola/Hello TBAWriter.

Bienvenido/Welcome.

Soy Villa/I am Villa.
You have come to the right place to learn Spanish.
Spanish and English are not so different as many people think.

That's because Spanish is a Latin language and 60% of English
vocabulary comes from Latin.

Spanish, French, Italian, Portugues, Romanian and Catalan come
from Latin and are all similar. In 1066 William the Conquerer crossed
the English Channel from France and conquered England and then the
French language that came from Latin went into the English language.
That is the main reason Spanish and English are so similar along with
the other Latin languages. Sure there is a little difference in pronuncation
but that is not so much of a problem. You can still be understood. Then
little by little your pronunciation will improve. We will help you learn Spanish.
You're going to be all right. Just stick with us.
