It means something that hangs toward the left. I wonder if que cuelga(n) hacia/a la izquierda works here. Too rudimentary, maybe?

"Left/right-hanging" can also be used in specifying the side from which something hangs. As an example, gates and doors can be differentiated as either "left-hanging" or "right-hanging", depending on which side the hinges are relative to you as you push them open.
If we are discussing the idiom "to be left hanging", the hyphen in "left-hanging" should be omitted. |
