Abreviatura de cucharada de postre
Cucharada sopera = table spoon = tbsp.
Cucharada de café = tea spoon = tsp.
Cucharada de postre = dessert spoon =

En recetas, 1 tbsp. = 15ml y 1 tsp. = 5ml. Que el nombre derive de cucharas imprecisas se puede considerar más un asunto etimológico que nada. ¿Qué tamaño tiene una cuchara de postre?

En Pro.Z dan, dessertspoonful, para "cucharada de postre" 10 c.c.

Cosa que también incluye el Oxford bilingüe (sin los 10 c.c.)

Y el Klett da "spoon for dessert" = "cuchara de postre" y "dessertspoonful" = "cucharadita".

En la tabla no está "dessert spoon". Yo tengo tres tamaños de cuchara en mi cocina: de sopa, de postre o café con leche y de café.

¿Qué volumen tiene cada cuchara, y la cuchara de postre?

He encontrado esto, pero tendrás que ver cuál es cuál.

Abreviatura: "dsp"

A dessertspoon is an English measuring spoon, and it is equivalent to 10 milliliters. An American teaspoon is 5 ml, so your dessertspoon is equal to 2 American teaspoons. It takes a third teaspoon to equal the (15 ml) American tablespoon.

On either side of the dessertspoon, the British have their teaspoon, at 1.5 of our teaspoons (or 7.5 ml) and the measuring tablespoon, at 1.5 of our tablespoons, or 22.5 ml.

Bueno, para gustos, los colores... y hay cucharas de todos los tamaños. Lo mejor es usar "standard measuring spoons" (al menos esto es lo que tenemos en California, aparte de las muchas y variopintas cucharas, cucharillas, cucharones y cazos...)

Irma - have a look at the table in this link. English and USA weights and measurements are always different, so this makes it complicated.

Oh, thank you. Well, if all the measures are made with the same spoon, the exact quantity of the spoon is not important.

Me parece que lo escribió alguien que no sabe de qué habla. Todos mis libros británicos de recetas dicen que 1 tsp = 5ml y 1 tbsp = 15ml.

Sí, supongo que lo mejor es usar las mismas cucharas (o las mismas proporciones) o usar las cucharas estándar.

En cuanto a libros más modernos, sí tengo uno que mide los ingredientes menores, por decirlo así, en porcentajes. 0,35% de agar-agar, por ejemplo.
