Hola,

Ayúdanme por favor con estos textos, y si tengo algunos errores, díganme

1. El invierno pasado los lagos estuvieron congelados sólo tres meses: Es muy poco tiempo acá en el norte.Hace algunos meses decidí nadar en un lago en mitad del invierno y el mes pasado finalmente lo hice. ¡El agua estaba, por supuesto, fría!

2. Tía-Teresa, ¿oye lo que le digo?

- No creo que la Tía pueda oír nada, porque está casi sorda. Escríbele una nota si tienes que decirle algo y ¡no grites! Me duelen los oídos.

3. Te pedí que no revelaras mi secreto a nadie, pero se lo contaste enseguida a tu hermana. Si hubiera sabido que no podías guardar un secreto, no te lo habría contado.

-Una pregunta acerca del tercer texto: "Te pedí que no revelaras", es la forma correcta del subjuntivo? o debería ser "te pedí que no reveles" ? (porque "pedí" ya está en el pasado)

Yep, It does help!! I think I got it now (the subjunctive mood) Should also always "concordar" with the verb and which tense its in (present, past, etc).

Yes, that's right. They should always "agree" "concordar" and/or match...

And yes, these 3 sentences are correct!

(Just the word "tía" needs to be lower case... but these are just details, details...)

Yeeey! I still want to go on practicing with the subjunctive mood, but Im all out of ideas for texts to translate Do you have any idea where I could find some texts? or maybe I should just make them up as I go

One question: Dudo que yo (ir) a la fiesta de Juana

En este caso, el sujeto es "yo" en ambas oraciones (yo dudo) y "que yo".

¿Debería usar el subjuntivo? Dudo que yo vaya a la fiesta de Juana.
Porque por ejemplo en : No creo que puedo hacerlo. Acá no usamos el subjuntivo.

¿Sabes por qué? :P

No creo que pueda hacerlo. (De hecho, el subjuntivo aquí es mejor.)

Thats what I was thinking, because the first time I wrote: No creo que pueda hacerlo. But then (I dont remember who) someone replied that it cant be subjunctive mood because the subject is the same (yo). So the rule doesnt then apply to this, I mean, can I use subjunctive whenever (as long as its needed) ?

Yes, you can use subjunctive whenever you need it.

Oh, one more unrelated thing.. was wondering, how do I say "part time job" and "full time job" - is it "trabajo a tiempo parcial" and "trabajo a tiempo completo" ?
