Bueñas a todos, leí un articulo en el periodico, y me preguntaba como traducirla en inglés, la siguiente es un seción con mi tentativa a traducción, por favor alguien pueda comprobarla????

“Please let this act as a reminder that it’s essential to take care while out enjoying the good weather. Something that may seem harmless or a bit of a laugh can end up with serious consequences.”

Por favor dejen esto servir como un recuerdo que es imprescindible cuidarse mientras disfrutando el buen tiempo, algo que parece inofensivo o algo de chiste puede ser al final con las consequencias serias.

Por favor, que esto sirva de recordatorio de que es esencial (or "fundamental") ser cuidadoso mientras se disfruta del buen tiempo (or "del/al aire libre"). Algo que parece inofensivo o más bien motivo de risa puede traer consecuencias serias (or "acarrear serias consecuencias")

Someone who doesn't speak English would have found "mientras disfrutando el buen tiempo" a little difficult. Also "puede ser al final con las consecuencias serias" has the additional problem of many possible interpretations. The problem was the literal translation of with together with the dramatic change of end up into the one and only substantive verb* in Spanish, ser. That, together with the article spoils the intelligibility of the phrase. Something more literal like "puede terminar con consecuencias serias" works much better.

* that establishing the nature of some thing by simply declaring it: the car is red; my SUV is good for the environment, etc.
