Hello ^^

Hi everyone!

I have been trying to self-study Spanish, and I must say I have fallen in love with it. I intend to enroll in a school that teaches the language at around November. Until then I am kind of stuck at self-studying, so I think joining this forum should give me the push that I need.

I speak Filipino and English, and would be more than happy to help anyone who needs it.

Thank you! ^^

Sybil

Hola Sybil. Muchos gusto. Bienvenida.
I've had a lot of relations with Filipinos here in Californa.
One of my fathers best friends was Filipinos and at one time
I had Filipino neighbors on both sides of my house. One of my
Filipino neighbors had an organ and he would play all these Cuban
songs that I knew from my Cuban wife. We became instant friends
when I went over to his house and saw/heard him play those Cuban
songs that I knew.

Filipino history is interesting. As you know Spanish was the official language
of the Philippines for over 300 years until the Americans took over. Even now
there are many Spanish speakers there and Tagalo has many Spanish words
in it. So you have a legacy of Spanish in your culture. Any way welcome
and I hope you learn mucho español aquí. Mi casa es tu casa.
