You are wonderful, I'm surprised with your examples, I see you are endeavoring a lot in your work, please you continue studying but I counsel you if you don't need to use your device, it will be the better way because if you try alone you must to learn more words and if you use the device or program then you only are translating but without learn the words translated.

Right, my two cents on what would sound more common to use here in Spain. I know very little about southamerican spanish, sorry about that
![]() ![]() 1. ¡Que tengas suerte! ![]() 2. Es una lástima ![]() 3. ¿Dónde están los aseos? ![]() You will be understood if you say it. In Spain it is called el cuarto de baño o los baños (public ones) The private one, at home, is el servicio 4. ¿Dónde está el baño? Much more common usage, good 5. Por favor, hable más despacio. ![]() ![]() 6. No me importa caminar, pero prefiero buscar un taxi. ![]() 7. Busque un plomero en seguida. No, un plomero seria un albañil especializado en calibrar si una pared esta construida recta o no. Un plumber es un fontanero. ![]() 8. Quisiera comer como un rey. Quiero comer como un rey. ![]() You are right, present is felt as more imprecative, pushy. First one implies you are eating something dull. 9. ¿Está lejos de aquí? ![]() 10. Necesito algún tiempo para pensarlo. ![]() 11. ¿Usted sabe donde está el campo de polo? ![]() >>>My apartment in Buenos Aires over looks the Campo Argentina de Polo. >> ![]() ![]() o simplemente ![]() 12. Cuánto cuesta para ir desde aquí hasta ____? ![]() Hope this is helpful |

Rusty's options are good.
some comments: 3. ¿Dónde están los aseos? Yes, it's already said, mainly when you're in a public place (hotel, conference room, goverment building) . The plural it's because usually there are for ladies and for mens. It's more polite than ¿Donde está el baño? 6. No me importa caminar, pero prefiero buscar un taxi. ![]() 7. Busque a un fontanero en seguida.. We do not use plomero in Spain. And the usual way is ¡¡LLama a un fontanero en seguida!! 8. Agree with Rusty. You should use the first. The second is a "demand" to the chef. Only to use when a friend is making the barbecue or when you want that the chef to surprise you. 11. Mi apartamento da al campo de polo. ![]() Mi apartamento está junto al campo de polo ![]() 12 Usually I do not use para. ¿cuánto cuesta ir desde el hotel hasta el campo de polo? Then somebody can answer "30 minutes walking, 10 by car" or "30 dollars" saludos ![]() PD: I have not see Hopper answers, wich are good. I can't help with the voseo. Only say that in both sentence usually the vos will skipped (Por favor, hablá más despacio and Buscá un plomero enseguida))

I've seen aseos and lavabos in public signs such as airports but haven't
heard it in common speech. It's like WC in American English. I've seen the signs but never heard any say WC unless they were referring to W.C. Fields the comedian.
