This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for January 2, 2009
verdura - feminine noun (la) - vegetable. Look up verdura in the dictionary Debemos de comer una dieta balanceada que incluya frutas y verduras. We should eat a balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables.

Gracias, y no te preocupes, el Sr. DailyWord no se ofende facilmente, tiene thick skin.
 Aquí en las Americas se usan las dos formas. No sabría decirte cuál de las dos es más común aquí.
