It might be a reference to being "on pins and needles", which means you're very anxious or excited about something.

ok let me get the book with it. then you can see what it means.
I can't find the book. I remember some of it....it's in book about a wolf's side of the story of the Three Little Pigs. it's someting like this..... "And your granny can sit on a pin!" I don't think this is enough though. I will continue to look for the book. Last edited by Jessica; March 16, 2009 at 07:03 PM. |

The book is called The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! by A. Wolf, by Jon Sciezka
Telling someone to sit on a pin is not very nice. There are worse ways to say the same thing, but it's rude at any rate. |

I'm not really naive or anything like that but I am truly confused. I know what the Fonz says or would say but not truly sure what "sit on a pin" means.

This is a put-down. Any zinger would do, I suppose.
Here are some others: Go stick your head in the oven. Go jump in a lake. Go soak your head. Sit on it and spin/rotate. Here's a more current put-down: Kiss my ____. |
