This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for September 7, 2009
cariño (masculine noun (el)) — affection, love, liking, fondness. Look up cariño in the dictionary Este es mi perrito- le tengo mucho cariño. This is my puppy- I'm really fond of him.

Usualmente mi perrito es muy cariñoso , pero de vez en cuando me muerdo. De hecho el lunes pasado me mordió el pie mientras yo dormía. Le he, con mucho esfuerzo, perdonado porque le tengo mucho cariño
