English?

Hacer algo a la antigua usanza is to do something like in the olden times. IS there a saying in English?

'was' in Dutch means:
- was (past tense of 'is')
- wax
- laundry..

So you could say:
"Toen de was van was was, was de was bijna in de was geweest".

If you're working in a waxmuseum, it'd be something you'd say on a daily basis..
