Possibly true, but which English accent? I think it actually would work best with a slight brogue (so Scottish Borders, perhaps).

I'm not sure. I think you would be more qualified to determine if this might work than me. I just thought it was interesting and based on my imitation of what I think is an "English" and Jamaican accent, it seemed plausible.

Possibly with a Gordie accent, where they tend to hang a 'y' on each vowel, so for Bacon they would say 'Bayer-con'.
