Correct answer for "- ¿A qué hora te acuestas normalmente?"

- ¿A qué hora te acuestas normalmente?
I thought the correct answer would be "Me acuesto doce de la noche" but to my surprie, it's "En general, tarde, sobre las once y media de la noche". Is it because the 1st one should be "... a las doce ..."? What's wrong with the first one? In the 2nd answer "sobre" seems to mean around, is it common or just in Spain?

Thanks

You're right, your first sentence is not correct because it lacks "a las"; check the way we tell the hours.

And this use of "sobre", although it's understood everywhere, is more common in Spain.
Over here, we'd rather say "normalmente/en general, tarde, como a las once y media de la noche".
