I'm translating the phrase below, and I'm having a hard time with the idiom "crowning jewel". What would be the best translation for that phrase?

I agree with Hernan. "Broche de oro" gets my vote.

It's a little old, but... my comment.
The direct translation is "la joya de la corona" my usage is: "la joya de la corona" when it's the more "valuable" item Example: - Dentro de la exposición de coches, la joya de la corona es el Ferrari XXXXXX de 1970. - La joya de la corona entre los edificios más altos es el XXXXXXX "el broche de oro" an event it happens at the end and brings a good "after-feeling" Example: -tras la celebración del cumpleaños, el broche de oro lo puso la entrega de un reloj grabado con sus iniciales. - Tras varios espectáculos interesantes, el broche de oro lo puso la actuación de..... so in your example I would also say "broche de oro", as Chileno suggested. Para ayudar a Hernán:
![]() Para cerrar con broche de oro la reunión, ofreció puros Cohiba a todos sus invitados. Al final, hubo fuegos artificiales durante quince minutos y así cerró con broche de oro la ceremonia. Nos mostraron toda la ciudad y cerraron el recorrido con broche de oro invitándonos a cenar en el restaurante más lujoso del centro.
