In Spain when somebody is standing in front of you and prevents you from watching something we say la carne de burro no es transparente, is there sth similar in English?

¡Qué fuerte! No conozco una frase parecida en inglés - "Excuse me" me parece lo más adecuado.

You're right, pjt, it's rather rude, but one usually tends to use it in friends or family groups, so it's just assumed as a joke. :)

Uhm, isn't a 'burro' a donkey? :D :p
(Or in this case probably more suitable: an ass? :D )

I've said:
You're blocking my view.
I can't see through you.
You're not a window, you know.
Move out of the way.

Haha! I llike that! :D
I think the word 'vitrine' is used in French also? We use it in Dutch and I suppose it's derived from the French 'vitre' being made into 'vitrine'? :p (Is there a difference between 'vitre' and 'fenêtre' ? I.e. would 'vitre' be more specifically the glass, and 'fenêtre' the entire window in general e.g.?)
I think it's 'vitrina' (i.e. showcase) in Spanish? :)
By the way, how would you say ' windowshopping' in Spanish?
