Aportar
Anybody has an unabridged dictionary and look up for "apport".
If I said, "I would like to apport with something..." Would I be understood? David, Rusty and Elaina. Sancho? Thanks in advance |
I doubt you'd be understood.
This word doesn't seem to have any relation to aportar (in your title), which means to contribute. I consulted many dictionaries online (none of them unabridged). All said apport is a noun, although I've seen elsewhere that some have turned it into a verb. The noun is a tangible object transferred from one place to another without the aid of material agency. These are often objects that materialize out of nowhere, usually associated with the paranormal. 'Apport with' is used by a few folks. It means to fetch or retrieve, and apparently comes from German. |
The [might exist/exists] but 98.39328% of Americans will not understand you if you use it. :)

Ah. Thank you Sirs. :-)

Are you saying "apport" as meaning ... "wanting to contribute towards the cost of something" ? No one would understand you unless they are weird like me:lengua:. I would understand you. So don't use it to mean that.
:p |
