Tapes/cd's
Are the Spanish lauguage tapes/cd's a good place to learn how to pronounce words and sentences? Or do they focus on pronouncations from only one area or country?

Hermosa o belleza
In bobjenkins' sentence 'la vida puede ser hermosa si lo intentas' why is hermosa used for beautiful instead of using the word belleza. Does belleza refer only to a female person?

So in the case of 'buy a lottery ticket' would you say 'buy a lottery ticket'? Or 'buy a ticket for the lottery game'?
