I like her

How can one translate "I like her" in the sense that I would lkie to know her better--maybe as a girlfriend. My Spanish teacher always said not to use "gustar" in this sense but to use "agradar"....

Yes, but you do begin sentences with capital leters and end them with a period. I frequently don't see that with my students.
