poner el pecho a la bala

It's an idiom that means facing the hard circumstances. It is much like face the music or bite the bullet. I know it is used in Argentina, and research shows that it is used in Spain. Is it used in Mexico or elsewhere?

Not used in Mexico.
It would be understood in context though.
