Banner -vs - Flag

Hi Everyone!

So what is the difference between a banner and a flag and how would you say it in Spanish?

What is a "banderilla"?

Los que cuelgan verticalmente se llaman "pendones" o "estandartes", pero los de uso militar se llaman sólo "estandartes"; los que van horizontales y se sostienen con palos o con sogas se denominan "pancartas", y los publicitarios de las páginas web se llaman banners. Los que se refieren a los titulares de los diarios se suelen llamar "titulares a 6 (u 8) columnas" o "titulares catástrofe" aunque eso cambia de país en país. Los "banderines" son generalmente triangulares (pennants), pero a veces se llama banderines a las banderas pequeñas que usa el público en desfiles y otras ceremonias (de todos modos es más común llamarlas "banderitas" o "banderas" a secas).

I agree with Alec.

"Banderillas" are the rods that are inserted in a bull for bullfights.
And in Mexico, they're some sort of sweet bread.
