The twenty-one official Spanish academies throughout the Spanish-speaking word have come together and composed an unpresidented study of the various phonetics of Spanish. (As in English, depending on the region pronunciation changes quite a bit). The volume comes with a disc to further illustrate the sounds.

'Compact Disc' is correct. That's what the inventor decided to call it and that's what is written in the Logo appearing on all CDs.
