Recibo
This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for May 17, 2009
recibo (masculine noun (el)) — receipt. Look up recibo in the dictionary ¿No te dieron un recibo cuando lo pagaste? Didn't they give you a receipt when you paid for it?

And you are right, "dinero" can be either used or not. You could also say "Por consiguiente, (yo) pagué de más"
