Since there is no context to go on, I would be inclined to use other wording than you, but your translations will certainly work.
I'm on my knees here. I work very hard to earn a living, but they have taken it all away. The direct object 'lo', used in each sentence, may be referencing a singular, masculine object or it could be referencing an idea (only understood in context). |
