Comenzó la práctica enfocada a casos especiales, niños celiacos o alérgicos, pero ha tomado fuerza en los últimos años. La disminución de las becas de comedor y la creciente crisis han favorecido que los padres prefieran enviar la comida desde casa. En su momento, las fiambreras inundaron las oficinas, ahora inundan las escuelas.

How would ‘en su momento’ be translated here?
Could it simply be ‘in time’?
