Question Math- correct?

I'm in Honors Geometry. I went to Geometry class in the summer because my mom wanted me to. So I have a head start in Geometry.
If I passed that test, I would've gone to Algebra II. But I wasn't supposed to go there, because my mom just wanted me to go there to have a head start. Even if I did pass that test I wouldn't go because it would be too hard. I didn't pass it, that test. It was hard.

"If one side of an equilateral triangle is congruent to one side of a second equilateral triangle, then the two triangles are congruent."
Is this statement true? Explain why or why not. Include a diagram in your answer (this part I can't "draw" it here so..."

I think it's true, but I just want to make sure if it's actually not true.
Also, tell me if I explained it well/correctly.
Here's the reason.

This statement is true because Equilateral Triangle #1 has 3 congruent sides. The second triangle, which is also equilateral, has 3 congruent sides also. So if one side of Triangle 1 is congruent to a side of Triangle 2, then they are congruent.

I haven't studied math for a while, but I think you're right.

Congruent triangles are triangles that have the same 3 angles and are the same size (the 3 sides are the same lengths), even if the two triangles aren't oriented the same way. In other words, if they are the same size and shape, they are congruent, even if they are flipped, rotated, mirrored etc.

An equilateral triangle is a triangle whose sides are the same length and corners angles are the same (60º).

So, on to the question: "If one side of an equilateral triangle is congruent to one side of a second equilateral triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.
Is this statement true?"

You have two equilateral triangles, which mean they are the same shape. Furthermore, all three sides of an equilateral triangle are the same length. If one side of triangle 1 is congruent to one side of triangle two, then the two triangles are the same size. Since the two triangles are both the same shape and the same size, they are congruent.

That's my opinion, but I guess I could be wrong.
