Question ¿Qué hiciste durante las vacaciones?

January journal. ¿Qué hiciste durante las vacaciones? What did you do during vacation? Sra said it didn't have to be winter vacation. But I will do what I did during my winter vacation anyways.

Just like the December's journal, I will write this one by one.

Durante las vacaciones del invierno, ayudamos la casa. Yo limpié el baño cerca de mi dormitorio.

Check for errors in these sentences please. when you do I will write more and you know what you must do.

Durante las vacaciones del invierno, ayudamos la casa. Yo limpié el baño cerca de mi dormitorio. Mis hermanos arreglaron sus dormitorios. Mis padres arreglaron su dormitorio y limpiaron los baños. Luego mi madre fue a la farmacia y al supermercado.

Please check for errors.

Let me telling you have made a great job in your translation in this post, but anyhow, you made it up some mistakes, but there were very minimal mistakes, then I will correct you now.

D you will ask yourself? Why I putted the word limpiar instead of arreglar. It's easy understand, I putted the word Limpiar, because that word is more accurate in itself expression, look, the word arreglar is more refer when someone is fixing something, for example some device, a car or anything, then if you are putting the word arreglar, in my own understanding you are wanting to say, your parents is fixing their room.

I hope you can understand my own words expressed here.

If you have some questions above my own corrections, please let me know, and I will be glad of explain you the corrections above this.

Good job! Crotalito mentioned changing arreglar to limpiar, but I agree with the way it was written. We usually straighten up our rooms (arreglar) and clean bathrooms (limpiar). However, if your room is a mess, it's best to limpiarlo.

You probably haven't learned it yet, but asear may also be used if you want to vary the wording a bit.

You ask yourself why I put in the word limpiar instead of arregular. It's easy to understand. I put/used the word limpiar in the sentence because the word is more accurate in it's expression. The word arreglar is used more to refer to when someone is fixing something, for example, some device, a car or anything. If you are using the word arreglar, it is my understanding that you want to say your parents are fixing(repairing) their room.

I hope you can understand my own words expressed here.

If you have some questions about my own corrections, please let me know, and I will be glad to explain to you the corrections above this.

Well I am just going to use arreglar because in the case here, it makes more sense since our rooms aren't that messy.
Thanks anyways, Crotalito

Mi mamá fue a la farmacia para comprar una champú y otros. Todas pagó diecisiete dólares. Ella fue a la supermercado para comprar los comestibles. Todas pagó ciencuenta y cinco dólares. Cuando regresó en la casa, mi mamá ponió la mesa y cocinó almerzo. Luego nosotros (what is the word for continued? ) ayudamos en la casa. Primero mi madre quitó la mesa y limpió los platos. Luego mis madres pasaron la aspiradora y mis hermanos y yo sacudieron los muebles. Mis hermanos y yo fueron a la biblioteca para sacar unos libros. También necesitan devolvieron los libros. Luego fueron en la casa.

Please check for errors, as usual! Gracias. I hope I get a 10/10 on this!

Yes, puso is the 3rd-person preterite form of poner.

There's still a mistake in the first clause of the last sentence. Crotalito's suggestion in red contains a typo, and he overlooked that you had two conjugated verbs back to back. And, since you just got through saying in the previous sentence that you checked out books, you may want to differentiate those books from the ones the boys are returning in the last sentence (in other words, it sounds strange to say los libros both times).
