Have been somewhere

Hola todos,

Tengo una pregunta para vosotros,

Can I ask someone if they have been somewhere by using:-
¿Has estado a Londres hoy?

In the same way that you couyld ask:-
¿Has visitado a Londres hoy?, o, ¿has viajado a Londres hoy?

or am I translating too literaly? Is estado more meant for having "been something" rather than "been somewhere"?

gracias por su ayuda,
un saludo,
Craig.

Re: Have been somewhere

Yo diría:

¿Has estado en Londres hoy? = Have you been in London today?
¿Has ido a Londres hoy? = Have you gone to London today?

Estas dos frases están bien:
¿Has visitado a Londres hoy?, o, ¿has viajado a Londres hoy?

Espero te haya ayudado
