Much hope in (y la palabra en)

Hola, ¿cómo se dice, "the people are great, I have much hope in them"

My proposals:

That sentence doesn't sound right in English.

"The people are great, I have great faith in them"
"..........................., I have high hopes for them"

One is usually "seguro" about a situation, not about people.
