Gracias.
¿Etimología? Derivation? (for "holistic", not for "integral"!) ![]()

Derived from the Greek ολος whole where the first ο is breathed as an h: holos (I can't put the correct breathed Greek characters in here)
Holistic health is a concept in medical practice upholding that all aspects of people's needs, psychological, physical and social should be taken into account and seen as a whole. As defined above, the holistic view on treatment is widely accepted in medicine. A different definition, claiming that disease is a result of physical, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental imbalance, is used in alternative medicine. These days, that second definition is the more common, and as such has absolutely no grounding in science, nor is there any evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. |
