Beneficio de Zumba

Mientras bailando el zumba para ejercisio hube encontrado una amiga mejicana. Soy disfruto porque ella puede ayudarme aprender y hablar español. ( While dancing the zumba for exercise I encountered a Mexican (female) friend. I'm pleased because she can help me to learn and to speak
Spanish).

Note: I probably should have used the pluscoamperfecto instead of the preterito anterior in conjugating the verb "encontrar".

Mientras bailaba/estaba bailando el zumba (I didn't know this dance existed ) me encontré con una amiga mejicana/mexicana. Me gusta porque ella puede ayudarme a aprender a hablar español.

Irmamar, gracias por los correciones. Zumba is actually a physical fitness program using latin music to dance to. It was started by a Columbian native. More info can be found via internet by googling "Zumba".

@Irma: Como dijo Vita, el Zumba es una nueva forma de hacer ejercicios aeróbicos, incorporando pasos de baile de salsa, cumbia, samba, merengue...

First I thought you wanted to say "samba" . Later I made a search and I saw it was a dance.

No encuentras, conoces . Conocer gente nueva (you meet people for the first time). Encontrarse con viejos amigos (you meet old friends).

Si, intiendo, "conocer" es más palabra apropiado. Pienso la palabra de engles "to find" (to find new friends). Pero "conocer" (to know) es buen usar y hace perfecto sentido en español.
Gracias.

Conocer sometimes means to meet among other things. Encontrar (encounter) is also commonly used.

¿Debe ser si las palabras conocer y encontrar estás palabras de sinónimas?

No, no tienen nada que ver. "Conocer" means to meet somebody for the first time. "Encontrar" means to find somebody whom you had already met before.
