Red face Candice

Forum Friends,

Does anybody know if there is a translation for the English, female name "Candice"? For example, Candice Bergman, who was Murphy Brown on the television serial. The nickname is Candi.

I know that proper names aren't usually translated, but I am still curious to know if there is a counterpart in Spanish.

Is it "Cándida"?

Thanks,

Silopanna Dean

Candice

That's my first name although spelled Candace. I lived in Spain for some years and was called Candida or Candi. I don't think there's a Spanish version of Candice.

Candace,

I actually found the name on the internet in a compendium of names in Spanish.

http://www.sheknows.com/baby-names/s...names/browse/c

In other places, in Spanish, it had an accent over the initial a: Cándida.

When did you live in Spain?
