How do you say "I got used to it"?

Specifically, where do you put the pronoun for 'it'---or do you not put it in at all?

I got used to it -- Me acostumbré a el/ello/ella

But in many cases, you wouldn't use it. An example:

It's really hot down here in Africa. Well, you get used to it.
Hace mucho calor aquí en la África. Pues, te acostumbras.
