I found the following, in http://womenshistory.about.com/od/wo...ss_ceiling.htm
The U.S. Department of Labor's 1991 definition of glass ceiling is "those artificial barriers based on attitudinal or organizational bias that prevent qualified individuals from advancing upward in their organization into management-level positions." (Report on the Glass Ceiling Initiative. U.S. Department of Labor, 1991.) What would be an optimum translation for this expression? Just saying it literally? (No kidding!) At any rate, any good options will be greatly appreciated.

= techo de cristal, techo de vidrio, tope ficticio, barrera ficticia, barrera invisible Ex: This article describes the impact of the organizational factors which create the 'glass ceiling', inhibiting women's ability to climb the corporate ladder.
