It would be nice to know why you're so hypersensitive to this term. This is just a language discussion, nothing else. Words were made to be used.

Political correctnes is the plague of the 21st century and it's become very difficult to communicate without offending someone.

Yes, you're right, fortunately there are linguistic and cultural differences and I hope it will remain like that.
