El internet, la internet or internet?

Hi, what is correct?

Me gusta la Internet.
Me gusta el Internet.
Me gusta Internet.

Different people are saying different things to me.

Many thanks.

It's funny that once something makes sense, something else pops up.

Third option is quite right. First option is somewhat wrong. Second option is horribly wrong.

Alright. If it's treated as a proper name, the third option will be valid as well then.

However, as a noun, the DRAE says it's either masculine or feminine, so second option is right.

Cierto, no diríamos “me gusta ópera”*, sino “me gusta LA ópera”... “Me gusta Plácido Domingo”...

Me gusta Pink Floyd, y me gustan Los Beatles...

Native speakers have made allowance for all three, according to the various replies above, but none would necessarily use all three. It depends on the meaning you're trying to convey and/or which gender sounds appropriate to a region. Mimic how the natives in your area use it and you'll do well.
(You forgot to capitalize the word in the last position.)

Me gusta Internet (a technological bundle: technology plus content plus culture; you have just one instance of it)
Me gusta la televisión (which was a technology in the first place; you have many instances of it)

CREA (Corpus del Español Actual, from Real Academia Española)

Internet: 7794 instances
internet: 754 instances

la Internet: 220 instances (more in Mexico, Puerto Rico and United States), 153 of them are from press articles (lower language quality)

el Internet: 129 instances (more in Peru, United States and Mexico) 60 of them from press articles (lower language quality)

(just) Internet: 7445 instances, 4630 of them from press articles, 1351 from books (higher language quality)

Summary:
from books, 22 use "la Internet", 34 use "el Internet", 1351 use just "Internet" without any article. In spite of it, Internet is dealt as feminine in most cases (adjectives tell it) although few instances of adjectives are found in this context (which tells that Internet is a proper name and no article should be used)

If you think it a second, as a general rule it's a contradiction to use "el" or "la" and capitalize. It has exceptions: la Argentina, la India, los Simpson, but all of them have their explanations and new vocabulary follows regular rules, not exceptions.
