You see, this is why I don't trust online translators and why I double-check everything.
So is "por cierto" interchangeable with "a propósito"? Here's the context for "in fact". My friend told me that she hopes to be here for Christmas, and I want to say: I actually really like the Christmas season. In fact, I read the book "A Christmas Carol" every year. Here's what I've come up with: En realidad, me gusta mucho la temporada de la Navidad. De hecho, leo el libro "Cuento de Navidad" cada año. Is that correct? I feel like maybe there's some other verb form I'm supposed to be using for "leer" since it's an ongoing action, but maybe not. Thanks for your help. |

Really? Hooray!!!!
It took me about an hour to figure that out. You have no idea how taxing it is to try to write one of these e-mails. Obviously my Spanish is barely even Level 1 kind of stuff. So it might take me half a day to finish a paragraph. It's a tremendous way to learn, though. It forces me to go out and research everything. |
