Two years ago I decided to learn Spanish. My motivations are multiple, but chief among them is the desire to communicate in another language and to experience the travail of the learning that language.
I have, too often, have heard my neighbors complain that immigrants come to the United States and fail to learn English. These people have chosen condemnation before investigation which is the highest form of arrogance and the lowest form of ignorance.
