A friend wrote on her FB:
de ley tio es igualita a la foto que se tomó mi mama exactamente en el mismo lugar [de ley] aunt it is the same as the foto that my mother took in the exact spot ¿que significa "de ley"?

It means "genuine".
It's an abbreviation of "de buena ley" (said of gold or silver, but applied to people and things...) (Colloquial) (Applied to persons could also be "loyal", but in this context, I'd go with some equivalent like "cool stuff") By the way, "tío" here is not "aunt" nor "uncle" but something like "dude".
