If you conjugate with the auxiliary "haber", you need the past participle, not the simple past for the verb "matar", and the pronominal "se" is not necessary here:
Pablo la había _(insert pastparticiple here)_. -> Pablo had killed her. However, if you mean that Pablo didn't kill her himself, but had someone to do it for him, another kind of structure is needed in Spanish. Try using this one as a guide: Pablo made someone to kill her. ![]()
