The indefinite article (used in your first sentence) would be heard much more often, because it is more general in nature. When there is the possibility of more than one available 'voice', this article can be used to convey that, as well.
The definite article (used in your last sentence) pins the number of voices down to one-it will be the only 'automated voice' heard when the floor is reached. Your middle sentence is not correct. An article must be used. |
