How to say "he likes me"

I use this example to understand how these kind of verbs work.

I like : me gusta
He likes me: el me gusta(?) /le gusta a mi(?)

Me gusta. = it/he/she/you(formal) is pleasing to me. = I like it/him/her/you.
Le gusto. = I am pleasing to it/him/her/you(formal). = It/He/She/You like me.

To narrow down the 3rd-person possibilities to only 'him', add 'a él'.
A él le gusto -or- Le gusto a él.
