No entiendo yo por qué el verbo descansar está ahí

Yeah it was referring to someone who was sick. So saying that "She will rest as much as needed" makes sense.... So to say "no me hace falta" means "I do not need it"?

Sí, aunque muchas veces "me" sobra porque está claro del contexto.
