Welcome!

The best way to learn how to pronounce words is to hear them spoken by a native speaker. If you don't know anyone that speaks Spanish, there are 'talking dictionaries' and language CDs that can help you learn. There are also web sites to help you learn Spanish with video clips.

Bienvenida Cee29:

You will see that learning to pronounce Spanish is much easier than trying to pronounce English.

Spanish is clean cut! The only thing that might confuse you is the different ways the different countries have for one single thing. Practice, practice, practice. Also, you might try watching a soap opera or two on TV.

Just a small observation.....is English your primary language? Because of the mistakes on your post it gets me thinking that it isn't. I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything, it was just an observation.

Welcome!!
Elaina

I suggest you watch television in Spanish. That will help with your pronunciation and intonation. Good luck!

Sometimes music helps. You can listen to a famous singer and try to imitate the sounds they make. It would also really help to have a close
translation of the lyrics. I certainly dont recommend imitatingSpanish sung by cantaores de flamenco or reggaeton. Instead, try smooth old fashioned boleros. The words are often clearly sung and have a natural cadence.
The singer Luis Miguel sings clearly and he has a bolero album. Vicky Carr
is also a good choice.
