Overall

...as in "overall your health is improving".
I was asked how to translate this simple sentence. I said, "en general tu salud está mejorando."

Dictionaries say en conjunto. Is this another way of saying overall, and does it have the same meaning?

Your translation is the one I would have used.

I think that "en conjunto" is used when you're talking about some list of objects or situations: "En conjunto tus síntomas están mejorando".

And there is also when "overall" expresses "totally", like in "The overall cost of the treatment..." -> "El costo total del tratamiento..."

I would also have used "en general". But you can use both.

Esto es un 'overall', conocido como 'overól' as well
En el colegio era obligatorio usarlo.

Claro, esos overoles.
