Trying to learn Spanish

Hola! Me llama LeAnnita Morena. I'm trying to learn to habla spani. It is frustrating because I comprenda basic words but trying to learn to carry conversations con amigas/amigos. I am learning slowly. Feeling excited and hopeful that I learn correctly and won't offend others using incorrect grammar. Hasta luega!

I've corrected a few items above. You should say Spanish in English. The other word you used is not English or Spanish for Spanish. (I fixed that word in your thread title, too.)

There's an 'Accents' drop-down menu located just above where you type. You can use it to insert all the special characters you'll need to type in Spanish, like the upside-down exclamation mark.

me llamo = I call myself
comprendo = I comprehend
entiendo = I understand
hablar español = (to) speak Spanish
hablo español = I speak Spanish
amigos = friends, all male OR a mixed group of both males and females
amigas = friends, all female
con mis amigos = with my friends (all of which are male or female)
con mis amigas = with my friends (all of which are female)
con mi amigo = with my friend (who is male)
con mi amiga = with my friend (who is female)
¡Hasta luego! = See you later! (this is an expression whose literal translation is 'until later') ('luego' is an adverb, so its ending doesn't change)

Welcome, LeAnnita Morena, you've come to the right place. I'd say don't worry so much about using perfect grammar in the beginning, just try to get the basics. Also in addition to the bookwork, the more listening you can do - and trying to imitate what you hear spoken -, the quicker you can acquire a good understandable accent. It's a rewarding pursuit!
